Who doesn’t love the combination of peanut butter, honey, and bananas?

This recipe is for the young, or at least the young at heart. Do you remember eating peanut butter, honey, and banana sandwiches when you were young? I sure do! They were my favorite school lunch. My mom would make them the night before school and put them in the refrigerator where the honey would soak into the bread and crystalize. The next day the bread would be kind of crispy with crystallized honey. I loved that special treat and I can still remember the taste and texture 30 years later!
If you have little people in your life then you surely know how hard it is to avoid refined sweeteners and still give them fun treats. With this easy, quick recipe it doesn’t have to be hard. This is the perfect recipe to make with your kids to get some healthy kitchen bonding time. Bonding over food is essential to raising children with great palates who are willing to try new things and eat what you put in front of them. So make this fun milkshake with your kids and enjoy the process and the smiles equally!
