I am lactose intolerant. I can eat hard cheese and butter, but heavy cream, creamed cheese are game stoppers for me.

I have some Green Valley full dairy, lactose free sour cream. Instead of heavy whipping cream, I use lactose free milk. That's all I can get at our small town super market!

It might be nice to have some lactose free recipes or just suggestions for substitutes in some of the recipes.

Thanks.

Hi Janie,

I'm so happy to hear that you found a few lactose-free alternatives that work for you. I am curious to know if you have ever looked into raw milk? My understanding is that some people who are lactose intolerant can tolerate raw milk very well! Raw Milk and Lactose Intolerance

I made this for my husband and I. I didn’t have any granulated garlic, so I figured garlic powder would work just fine.. Holy moly it was garlicky! But my husband LOVES it. He says I need to sell it! Thank you for this awesome recipe, if you have a garlic lover, I totally recommend using garlic powder instead.

I made this many times and always loved it’s creaminess. Last time I made it I added half and avocado for the nutritional benefit and I love it even more now.
